Steel guitar players searching for string gauges for pedal steel, lap steel, console steel, or dobro tunings will find these sets assembled using the gauges Bobby Lee used and recommended.

Built with GHS Super Steels stainless steel strings, this set is assembled in slightly different gauges to suit pull-release instruments that use a wound 6th string.

While especially well suited for the Stage One, these gauges also work well on other pull-release pedal steel guitars such as the Carter Starter and Sho-Bud Maverick.

String Gauges – Stage One E9 Tuning

These are the same GHS Super Steels stainless steel strings offered elsewhere in our store, but assembled here in slightly different gauges for players who prefer this pull-release setup.

Compared with the standard GHS E9 pedal steel set, the 6th string is wound, and strings 1, 3, 6, and 10 are slightly heavier.
